Item # 280T - Vintage Navajo Turquoise Inlay Buffalo Skull Bolo
Vintage late 60's early 70's Navajo buffalo skull bolo! Made with a silver overlay of a buffalo skull and wagon wheel set on an oxidized blackened base. The back ground around the skull has been filled with turquoise chips. Similar to a picture frame with stamped horseshoes, side borders, and a scalloped stamped outer rim. The bolo pendant is attached to the black braided leather cord with a BENNETT PAT. PEND. C-31 thumb locking clasp. The pendant measures 2 3/8" tall by 2" across narrowing down to 1 3/8" at the bottom. The cord measures 37" long which includes the 2 1/4" sterling silver end tips. Heavy bolo weighing 53.3 grams (1.88 ounces) and stamped with a hallmark Horseshoe J by the artist. Guaranteed sterling silver. Great shape with exception of a slightly dented end tip. $79.95
