Item # 267F - Vintage Turquoise Inlay Screw Type Earrings

Unique vintage turquoise inlay earrings. Early example of chip inlay whereas I'd place these back to 40's era, possibly earlier. The estate had items dating back to 1903. Bold green turquoise with an amber color epoxy and a large silver drop at each end. They each measure 1 1/2" long by approximately 1/2" wide and weigh 9.5 grams total (4.6 grams and 4.9 grams separately). Both are stamped SILVER MEXICO on the screw base. These came from the Dr Effie Mack Estate. (Effie Mona Mack (1888-1969), Nevada historian and educator, and University of
Nevada Reno benefactor, author of History of Nevada and
Mark Twain in Nevada.) A great piece of collectible jewelry! $48.95
