Item # 265N - Chrysocolla Squashblossom w/Matching Bracelet

Beautiful chrysocolla squashblossom necklace with matching three stone bracelet! The necklace consists of one hundred forty six (146) hand rolled and punched 8 mm silver beads, ten (10) chrysocolla trefold blossoms, and a large five stone naja all strung on wire. Each chrysocolla stone is set in a hand cut saw toothed bezel wrapped with silver beads. The blossoms and side stones on the naja have a single feather with a circle stamped bead at top. Each side has two scrolls with all the decoration attached to a blackened silver base. The blossoms continue with a trefold flute attached from the bottom side. The top setting on the naja is similar, yet different with two feathers at top and a combination of a long scroll and short scroll to each side. Each stone is approximately 7/8" by 1/2" on the necklace. The naja measures 3" by 3 1/8" across and each blossom measures approximately 2" long by 1" wide. The complete necklace measures 27 1/2" long end to end with a hanging length of 16" from clasp to end of naja and has a brass hook-n-eye clasp. It weighs 243.8 grams (8.60 ounces). The matching bracelet consists of three chrysocolla stones set in saw toothed bezels wrapped with twisted rope. With a feather on one side and six scrolls and two silver beads surrounding each stone. Also having all decoration set to a blackened base. The two outer stones measure 7/8" by 1/4" with the center stone being 7/8" by 3/8". The bracelet measures 1 1/4" wide with an inner circumference of 5 1/2" and a 1 1/2" opening. It will fit a 7" wrist as is and could easily be adjust in for a smaller wrist of 6 1/2". The bracelet weighs 43.8 grams (1.54 ounces) and is stamped O J and both items are guaranteed sterling silver. The set could possibly be attributed to Zuni artist Odelle Jaramillo, but I'm not certain. Chrysocolla is a very beautiful stone with combinations of blues, greens, reds, browns, and golden yellow. Just as desirable as quality turquoise and sometimes confused for turquoise. This is a nice heavy quality necklace and bracelet most likely made during the 60's or 70's.  $769.95
