WOW! Massive vintage 1910's to 1920's Zuni turquoise squashblossom necklace! Made with one hundred nineteen (119) inlaid turquoise stones total. Seven stones to each flowered blossom and seven flowers that make up the naja. The necklace consists of one hundred twenty nine (129) handmade silver beads which are four (4) 7-8 mm, twelve (12) 12-13 mm, and one hundred thirteen (113) 10 mm beads. Notice the hook-n-eye clasp is attached with wrapped wire instead of crimped on. The necklace measures just shy of 31" long end to end with the naja measuring 3 1/2" by 4 1/2" across. Each blossom measure approximately 1 5/8" by 1 1/4". The heavy necklace weighs over 12 ounces! It comes with an original pawn ticket dated June 21, 1932 from V. Huntzer of Brago Pass, NM. and was pawned. (we have removed the picture of the front of ticket with respect to the individual) The back of the ticket shows where the pawn wasn't paid and the shop sold it for cost plus 10% in December 1, 1932.(Click Here to see larger version of pawn ticket) It's in immaculate shape for it's age with only a couple of dented beads. It's most likely coin grade silver and is strung on wire. The necklace previous owner bought it in 1989 for over  $3500. The white spots are from the camera flash. All of the turquoise stones are a light pale blue in color.  $4877.95
