Bold large Navajo turquoise and coral ring. Made with a quality blue green turquoise nugget and a piece of branch coral set in hand cut serrated bezels. The stones are set at opposite sides of the face with a large feather and scrolls running between them. Both sides have been inlaid with four pieces of turquoise set in a crescent moon display. All mounted to an extra large sandcast ring which measures slightly longer than 1 3/8" by 1" across. The ring is a size 12 and weighs 30.5 grams (1.08 ounces). It's stamped HB by Navajo artist Harvey Begay. He is the son of noted silversmith Kenneth Begay. He began working at White Hogan from 8th grade through high school and opened his own gallery in 1973.
