Beautiful vintage Zuni turquoise pettipoint and snake eye's link concho belt. Made with one buckle and twelve (12) identically made conchos connected together with circled hoops. Each concho consists of forty four (44) small pettipoint stones, eighteen (18) round snake eye's, and a single oval center stone. Each section wrapped with a twisted rope and dotted around the outer rim with silver drops. The buckle and each concho measures approximately 1 1/2" by 1 5/8" so that should tell you how small the stones are. They border needlepoint actually. The complete belt measures 40" long end to end with the last 8" being the adjustable extension. It will fit a waist from 32" to 40". The total weight is 118 grams (4.16 ounces) and is stamped N V H - ZUNI, NM by Zuni husband and wife Norman & Virginia Hooie. They began producing in 1962 (Hallmarks of the Southwest p 79).
