Vintage Multi Stone Inlay Redbird Buckle
Beautiful vintage inlay workmanship! Made with a yellow mother of pearl base with turquoise leaves, coral or spiny oyster used for the berries and bird parts, brown lip shell for the branch and for the wings. It has small etched lines in the lower half showing a separation of the land and sky. Set in a round smooth bezel with repeating snake/worm stamping, sunrise stamping, and other stampwork to complete the decoration. The buckle measures 3 1/8" by 2 1/2" and the inlay measures 1 7/8" diameter. The buckle weighs 44.5 grams (1.57 ounces) and will accommodate a belt up to 1 1/2" wide. The buckle is either silver plated or coin silver. It doesn't test as sterling grade. Some one etched R.B. - Navajo on the back, but I don't believe it's the artist signature. $107.95
