Award Winning Style Persian Turquoise Gold Squashblossom Set

WOW!! Beautiful heavy Persian turquoise and gold squashblossom earrings set! This set is basically identical to an award winning squashblossom listed in March 1975 Arizona Highways magazine page 39. The magazine shows a completely gold squashblossom winning a blue ribbon at the 1973 Denver American Indian Art Show in the category of Special Award (see pictures at bottom of page). The squashblossom consists of one hundred fifty (150) silver seamed 9mm beads with decorative stampwork on both sides of each bead, twelve (12) turquoise "blossoms" made with a large domed Persian turquoise polished stone set in a very fine cut gold saw toothed bezel wrapped with gold twisted rope with two gold leaves and gold bead. Mounted to a sterling silver base with a three point flute cut. The naja is made the same with eight (8) stone settings. The earrings are also same design with gold ear hooks. The Persian stones range from 3/4" long to 1 1/8" long by 5/8" to 3/4" wide and they exceed around 1/2" thick. The naja measures 3 3/4" by 3 1/2" and the complete necklace measures 32" long end to end. The massive squashblossom weighs over 12 ounces. The earrings measure 1 7/8" long by 3/4" wide. Please note that any white areas on the turquoise is from the camera flash. There is no white in the turquoise only light blue. It is unmarked and unsigned, but if I understood the Arizona Highways article correctly the artist's are Ramon & Lucille Patero.  $2277.95
