Vintage Turquoise Coral Bear Claw Bolo
Nice heavy bear claw bolo! With a 1 1/4" long bear claw and nice piece of thick branch coral along with three silver drops at the top, a polished turquoise nugget slightly off center, and two large silver leaves with a squashblossom bloom and scroll at bottom. Wrapped with twisted rope and deep channel cuts on one side with repeat sunrise stampwork on the other side. Nice thick silver measuring 2 1/8" by 1 5/8" with a heavy even dark patina. Attached to a black braided leather cord with a locking Bennett style clasp. The cord measures 37" long to include both of the 2 1/8" sterling silver end tips. The complete set weighs 38 grams and is hallmarked by the artist STERLING - L K. LK is attributed to three different Hopi artist's in my reference books, but the bolo's more Navajo in style so I'll leave it at that. $187.95
