Vintage Zuni Custom Made Bowling Bolo
Vintage Zuni custom made bowling bolo. All stone-to-stone inlay made with a white mother of pearl background with crossed bowling pins and a bowling ball under the pins. The bowling pins are made of inlaid turquoise, coral, and a pink reflecting mother of pearl. The bowling ball is made of black jet with turquoise finger holes. All set in a smooth bezel with multiple repeating thunderbird track symbols around the edge. The pendant measures 1 7/8" long by 1 7/8" tapering down to1 1/2" across the bottom. The black braided leather cord measures 37" long to include the custom made 1 3/4" long end tips. It weighs 30.6 grams (1.08 ounces). The bolo I'd estimate is from the 40's, possibly 50's. The hand rolled silver around the edge usually would mean even older. Very nice piece and fairly certain it's one-of-a-kind! $168.95
