70's Navajo Onyx Bolo
Nice simple black onyx bolo. Made with a 1" by 3/4" domed onyx cab set in a scalloped bezel and set at the bottom of a spoon shaped silver plate. The artist added sun rays shooting off the top of the onyx stone. The bolo pendant measures 2 1/8" long by 1 1/2" across and is attached to a 36" black braided leather cord which includes the 1 5/8" long sterling silver end tips. It has a locking Bennett style clasp and the complete set weighs in at exactly 30 grams. It is stamped Sterling - M Ashley on the back by most likely Navajo silversmith Monroe Ashley. The reflections from the shiny silver make the bolo appear damaged. It's in perfect shape other than a small dent in both the end tips which are visible in the first picture. $47.95
