Heavy Vintage Turquoise Sandcasted Bolo
Nice vintage quality sandcasted turquoise bolo! I would believe it's Navajo made. The outer designed part of the pendant was sandcasted silver with the artist - silversmith adding a center plate of silver and seaming it to the casted part. Also adding two beautiful polished turquoise nuggets with heavy black matrix set in saw toothed bezels with two silver drops between the stones. The stones appear to be high quality gem grade, not the stabilized turquoise you see in most new pieces of jewelry. It has the old style wire slides on the back. The bolo pendant measures 2 3/4" by 2 1/4" and the soft braided brown leather cord measures 39" long to include the new sterling silver corrugated bead end tips. The whole bolo weighs 51.5 grams which most of that being the pendant. Unsigned coin silver or better with the end tips being sterling silver. $189.95
