Vintage Heavy Ladies Natural Turquoise Watchcuff
Another nice heavy ladies watchcuff! This is quite older, guessing 50's or 70's era. Made with five nice natural turquoise nuggets graduating in size from 3/4" by 1/2" to 1 1/8" by 1". The artist has used a grinding wheel and has notched the turquoise making it appear rough. Although, the stones are also wheel polished and under a loupe they appear to have never been stabilized or treated. That observation also gives way to why the stones have turned mostly green due to human oils. Each stone is set in a scalloped bezel with two solid leaves between each stone. The oval shaped Timex watch is offset to the side and it also has leaves covering the watch ends. This is an extremely heavy and solid cuff that weighs 90.2 grams (3.18 ounces!). The measurements are 1 1/4" wide with an inner circumference of 5 1/8" and a 1 1/4" opening. It will fit a wrist size of 6 1/8" to 6 1/4" and cannot be adjusted.
