Vintage Beaded Leather Strip
Very old beaded leather strip or strap if you prefer! I'm not sure what this originally came off of or was used for? I purchased it in Oklahoma off a reservation. It could have been a piece off an old warshirt or native dress or possibly a hatband. I had planned to use it as a hatband, but need to unload some of my collection. The strap measures 21" long by 5/8" wide and has been beaded in the lazy stitch design. Repeating pattern of four designs with the white beads and three of the red and navy blue design with sky blue beads strung in between. All the beadwork is tight with no loose or missing beads. It has reminants of glue spots making me think that it has been used as a hatband. Here's a great piece of beaded workmanship for both crafters and collectors! $29.95
