Wide Lazy Stitch Beaded Belt
Beautiful and heavy grain cowhide beaded belt! The maker used what's called "lazy stitch" bead work where they string a few beads before they stitch into the belt. You can see the pattern design in the picture of the back side of the belt. They used a combination of bright red, lime green, blue, black, and white sead beads in a repeating pattern of double pointed arrows. The belt measures 1 1/4" wide by 31" long. It will fit a waist size between 26" to 28" and you could add a hole to make for a larger waist. The buckle is either silver plated or nickel silver. It did test for silver content. The belt is very stiff as I said whereas heavy grain cow hide was used. The picture above show the red somewhat crooked. That's from the stitching and it straightens out when it is wrapped around the waist. The previous owner must not of worn much? It doesn't show hardly any wear.
