Pre 40's Silver and Turquoise Squash Blossom Necklace

Beautiful traditional silver squash blossom. This necklace has some of the largest silver beads I've seen with the regular beads being 12 mm and the blossom beads being 13 mm (if I read the guage correctly?). Normally they are 8-9 mm. Made with fifty (50) of the 12 mm beads, twelve (12) silver blossoms, and the heavy naja that measures 2 3/8" by 2 1/4" with a beautiful spiderweb matrix turquoise stone. The naja is made of two triangle shaped rods with a free floating twisted rope in the middle and seamed together at the ends with silver stamped buttons. The stone is added with a cut sheet of silver attached to the back and it's set in a smooth bezel. It shows characteristics of pre 40's whereas the beads are punched from inside, out to string with. The seams on the beads have been filed down and the necklace has been strung on two cloth rope strings. No matter the time period, this is one really nice squash! The full length from end to end is 23". It has been tested as sterling silver, but it is not marked. Similar necklaces date back to late 1800's to early 1900's, which this one could possibly be from that era.  $874.95
